Withering the Roots of Fruitless Trees

In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

I ask you to consider the aspects of your lives that are not producing fruit. Is it work? A relationship? Your self esteem? Your health?

There is a foundation of fruitlessness. There may be a deep root that must be cursed, killed, and forgotten. When we are creatures in Christ, we are made NEW! Therefore, we are not under condemnation but liberty. God said, be fruitful and multiply in the earth. This is not ‘just for children’, but for your purpose. Create as God created. He has given us the power as you can see in the scripture above to move mountains.

We can replenish the earth with our health, our relationships, marriages, friendships, gifts, talents, business, children, and the list goes on. Curse the root today, and let’s move forward into our destiny with fresh leaves, uprooted negative thoughts and strongholds that are holding us in place. The love of God is an amazing revelation that will allow us to feel liberated and know that we are called for greatness. He knows our flaws, but He focuses on our aspects of greatness.

Curse it at the root! Let’s produce for 2011 together!

Be blessed….God is Love!
