When you think of love as an empowerment, wouldn’t you utilize it in times of difficulties?
1st Corinthians 13:04-13:07 states love as the following:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
He has provided us with the attributes of what we should give and ultimately receive from those who are our friends and mates. Profoundly He has genetically altered our minds to love being loved.
Lucy Brown, professor of neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, has taken FMRI images of people in the early days of a new love.
In a study reported in the July 2005 Journal of Neurophysiology, she too found key activity in the ventral tegmental area. “That’s the area that’s also active when a cocaine addict gets an IV injection of cocaine,” Dr. Brown says. “It’s not a craving. It’s a high.”
Biologically, the cravings and pleasures unleashed are as strong as any drug. Certain brain regions, scientists have found, are being deactivated, such as within the amygdala, associated with fear. Excited brain messages reach the caudate nucleus, a dopamine-rich area where unconscious habits and skills, such as the ability to ride a bike, are stored. The attraction signal turns the love object into a habit, and then an obsession. According to a 1999 study in the journal Psychological Medicine, people newly in love have serotonin levels 40 percent lower than normal people do – just like people with obsessive-compulsive disorders. It is amazing that when we utilize the part of our brain to love, it is a high, similar to snorting cocaine!
The most noteworthy point the neuroscientists corroborate with the word of God, is the deactivation of fear when we simply love! There are vital amounts of concerns that we face day in and out that are rooted completely in fear; racism, anger, jealousy & the list goes on.
The reason we don’t like to use the word ‘Love’ freely is because fear has capitalized. We have no problem saying…”Oh you are so kind”, or “You are the most patient” or “You are so giving”. When fear is in the way of something, there is a blessing waiting for you to grab on the other end.
When we make a conscious effort to love people or circumstances that we face; we simply (or not so simply : ) have to be patient, kind, trust, protect, hope & forget the past. That is when people feel your anointing…literally!
So the next time you are confused about love and you need to know if she/he loves me, ask the following: Does he protect you? Does he trust you? Is he patient? Is he quick to anger? Is he/she jealous?
Love is like the natural properties of water. I couldn’t stand the taste of water, but when I found out the benefits I couldn’t go without it. It is a natural solution to get rid of many toxins in your body. We try everything in the book to lose weight, but the most effective way is to just add water. We often look to the complexities of the world to answer simple problems. Love will rid the toxicity from your life. It is God acting through you to change fear and eventually make your enemies your allies.
Love and watch your world change around you.
And P.S. I love you!
